Outreach Coordinator & Medical Driver

About the role

The Department of Medicine at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Outreach Coordinator/Medical Driver to lead community education initiatives and operate mobile health units on the UHealth campus.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute promotional, educational, and outreach events to raise community awareness of health services.
• Develop and maintain a network of community contacts, agencies, and service providers.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and data collection for grant reporting and program evaluation.
• Drive three mobile units safely, maintain vehicle logs, safety checklists, and coordinate maintenance with fleet services.
• Transport supplies, set up event infrastructure, and manage logistics for mobile outreach activities.
• Respond to public inquiries, distribute educational literature, and promote services at health fairs and community meetings.
• Train personnel on outreach program delivery and maintain effective communication with clients and partners.

Required profile

• Ability to drive mobile health units safely and reliably.
• Experience developing and implementing community outreach or public education programs.
• Strong organizational skills for coordinating events, logistics, and data reporting.
