Order Selector - 2nd Shift

About the role

Saputo, a top 10 global dairy processor, is hiring an Order Selector for its 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM) in Caledonia. The role covers picking outbound orders from the warehouse, building pallets and keeping inventory accurate, in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and exit equipment to manually select the correct items and quantities from warehouse pick locations using ride-on double pallet jacks, radio frequency devices, location barcodes, case labels and work orders.
• Complete all outbound orders, including customer orders and internal stock transfers, following shipping instructions such as pallet type, slipsheets, temperature recording devices, minimum shelf life, TixHi and item grouping.
• Palletize and build stable, transport-ready pallets of dairy products, shrink wrap them and attach proper pallet tags and placards.
• Rotate inventory and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Complete the daily Powered Industrial Truck inspection and report concerns to maintenance or the shift supervisor.
• Follow food safety, quality and regulatory requirements, report hazards promptly, attend required training, shift meetings and committees, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to work the assigned schedule, including weekends and holidays, and to work overtime daily and/or weekly.
• Demonstrated work history and ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop and climb, lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, work in cold environments around moving equipment, and have good colour vision.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment and follow established procedures.

Required skills

• Basic math knowledge.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Good visual acuity, close and distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and hand dexterity.
