Inventory Control Clerk (2nd Shift)

About the role

Saputo, a top 10 global dairy processor, is hiring an Inventory Control Clerk for its Caledonia facility, working the 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM shift. The role covers inventory control, customer return investigations, warehouse coordination and SAP transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Confirm physical inventory quantities and locations and report variances.
• Create, assign and complete inventory control tasks, and resolve discrepancies caused by exception codes.
• Run monthly cycle counts on all inventory and locations, physical and virtual, and reconcile as needed.
• Oversee physical customer returns, investigate claims on shortages, overages or damages, and respond to them.
• Act as warehouse team lead: coordinate, assign work, report and follow up.
• Help investigate product shortages and ensure order fill rates are met without warehouse-controlled shortages.
• Create Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) to move products between warehouse locations.
• Backfill vacancies and provide scheduling support.
• Complete required SAP transactions and documentation.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, food safety and quality programs, wear PPE, and attend required training and meetings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; a 2-year degree in supply chain or inventory control management is preferred.
• Two years in a lead warehouse role in a warehouse, logistics, transportation or distribution center.
• Able to operate material handling equipment and lift up to 40 lbs unassisted.
• Good vision, color discrimination and hand dexterity; must wear PPE in a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Advanced computer skills with word processing and spreadsheets.
• Experience with WMS and SAP is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret customer orders, inventory reports and operating procedures, and to generate reports and correspondence.
• Mathematical skills, multitasking in a fast pace, and teamwork.
