About the role
The University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is seeking a full‑time Ophthalmic Imager I to support visual physiology services. The role involves performing a range of ocular diagnostic tests and ensuring accurate documentation within the EMR and PACS systems.
Key responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging including color fundus photography, fluorescein and indocyanine green angiography, optical coherence tomography, and automated perimetry.
- Capture slit‑lamp, external, and ocular motility photographs.
- Document procedures and upload images to the electronic medical record and PACS platform.
- Maintain equipment calibration, ensure proper instrument functioning, and stock clinical rooms.
- Provide patient‑centric care while adhering to infection‑control and safety standards.
- Travel to satellite eye centers and work evenings or weekends as needed.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of relevant ophthalmic imaging experience.
- Professional appearance and strong interpersonal communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet productivity goals.
