About the role
The University of Miami Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is seeking a Per Diem Ophthalmic Imager 2 to support diagnostic imaging services in Palm Beach Gardens. The role involves performing a range of ocular imaging procedures, documenting results in the EMR, and ensuring high‑quality patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging including color fundus photography, fluorescein and ICG angiography, OCT, automated perimetry, slit‑lamp and external photography.
- Document procedures and upload images to the EMR/PACS system.
- Maintain equipment calibration and ensure proper functioning of imaging instruments.
- Provide patient‑centric care while adhering to infection control and safety standards.
- Assist with training of residents, fellows, and visiting technicians.
- Travel to satellite eye centers and work evenings or weekends as needed.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as OCT‑C (Certified Optical Coherence Tomography) or CRA (Certified Retinal Angiographer).
- Ability to follow University of Miami policies, maintain confidentiality, and complete mandatory training.
