Ophthalmic Imager 2 – Full Time

About the role

The Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Ophthalmic Imager 2 to join its Doral, FL clinic. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of ocular diagnostic tests, capture high‑quality images, and ensure accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging including color fundus photography, fluorescein and indocyanine green angiography, optical coherence tomography, automated perimetry, slit‑lamp and external photography, and ocular motility photography.
• Document procedures and upload images to the EMR/PACS system while maintaining equipment calibration and compliance with infection‑control standards.
• Provide patient‑centric care, adhere to university policies, and maintain confidentiality.
• Support clinical research, assist with training of residents, fellows, and visiting technicians, and act as a preceptor and super‑user for imaging technology implementations.
• Travel to satellite eye centers as needed and work evenings or weekends to meet productivity goals.

Required profile
