Ophthalmic Imager 1 – Full‑Time (Palm Beach Gardens, FL)

About the role

The University of Miami, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is seeking a full‑time Ophthalmic Imager 1 to perform ocular diagnostic testing and imaging in Palm Beach Gardens. The role supports patient‑centric eye care by operating specialized imaging equipment and documenting results in the EMR system.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging including color fundus photography, fluorescein angiography, ICG angiography, optical coherence tomography, automated perimetry, slit‑lamp photography, external photography, and ocular motility photography.
• Document procedures and upload images to the electronic medical record/PACS platform.
• Maintain equipment calibration, ensure proper room organization, and stock supplies for daily clinical activities.
• Travel to satellite eye centers as needed and work evenings or weekends when required.
• Adhere to university policies, patient confidentiality, infection control, and safety standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant experience in ophthalmic imaging or a related field.
• Professional appearance and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical environment.
• Basic knowledge of ocular anatomy, function, and motility.
