Operator – Control Board (Gas & Oil Pipelines)

About the role

The Control Board Operator ensures safe, healthy and environmentally sound operation of gas and oil pipelines. You will monitor plant throughput, manage liquid recovery and act as the primary point of contact for schedulers, customers and maintenance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review prior shift logs and daily computer logs for accuracy.
• Measure and regulate plant throughput, liquid recovery and pipeline nominations.
• Communicate with gas/liquid schedulers, customers and sales points to keep product flow aligned with nominations.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on processing and compression equipment, including pumps and compressors.
• Order and manage parts, consumables and equipment inventories.
• Conduct pipeline studies, inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain logs of meter readings, test results and adjustments.
• Provide 24‑hour on‑call support for emergencies and urgent questions.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in oil and gas plant and pipeline operations, covering both gas and liquid pipelines.
• Proven ability to operate, maintain and troubleshoot pumps, compressors and associated control systems.
• Experience with lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, JSA/JHA documentation and project oversight.
• Capability to perform basic maintenance using hand tools, man‑lifts and skid‑steers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
