About the role
We are seeking a full-time Operator to perform road maintenance and repair tasks using heavy equipment at construction sites around Chaparral, NM. The role involves operating rollers, tractors and related machinery, as well as handling various hand and power tools.
Key responsibilities
- Operate heavy maintenance equipment such as rollers and tractors for county road upkeep.
- Use hand and power tools (rakes, shovels, picks, wrenches, air hoses, gauges, wood chipper) to perform maintenance functions.
- Clean, install, and maintain ditches, culverts, and cattle guards, and haul materials as needed.
- Collect and remove trash, debris, and other waste from work sites.
Required profile
- At least one year of responsible experience operating heavy equipment for maintenance work.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CDL Class A driver’s license issued by New Mexico.
- Must reside within 15 miles of Chaparral, NM.
Required skills
- Heavy equipment operation (rollers, tractors).
- Hand and power tool usage.
- CDL Class A (NM) licensing.
What we offer
- $18.50 per hour plus a benefits package.
- Full-time, non-exempt position.
