Operator Assistant – Quality Control & Packaging

About the role

The Operator Assistant supports the extrusion line by inspecting product quality, ensuring accurate packaging, and collecting production data. Working under the Lead Operator or Production Supervisor, you will help guarantee that every roll meets size, gauge, and safety specifications before it ships to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Check job tickets for extrusion instructions, size, gauge tolerances, and special packaging or labeling requirements.
• Inspect product for conformity, including gusset setup, gel blocking, die face condition, and overall roll formation.
• Weigh every other roll, record weights, and flag any discrepancies to the operator.
• Package finished product neatly, select appropriate pallets or cradles, and apply correct labels and white weight tags.
• Enter production data into the computer system, track scrap, and log start/stop times accurately.
• Report any food safety or GMP concerns immediately.

Required profile

• Ability to follow GMP and food‑safety procedures consistently.
• Strong attention to detail for size, gauge, and labeling checks.
• Basic math skills for weighing and data entry.
• Willingness to work under supervision and collaborate with other operators.
