Operator 1 – Production Operator

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Operator 1 to join our St. Joseph manufacturing team. In this position you will help keep production lines running smoothly while upholding Bosch’s high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment and machinery.
• Load, assemble, and unload parts and components from various machines.
• Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Complete paperwork and maintain accurate production records.
• Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities and report machine anomalies.
• Assist in training new employees and cross‑train on other functions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following the 5S philosophy.
• Contribute to continuous improvement (CIP) and Kaizen events.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and air tools.
• Ability to read functional gauges and perform basic measurements.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality‑control mindset.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
• Flexibility to work overtime with short notice.
