Operations Research Analyst – Marine Corps Mission Engineering

About the role

MANTECH is seeking a motivated Operations Research Analyst to support Marine Corps mission engineering, warfighting analysis, and capability development in Quantico, VA. This on‑site position involves data‑driven modeling, simulation, and analysis for government and USMC customers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of Marine Corps warfighting concepts, mission threads, and weapon system capabilities.
• Define analytic problems, formulate research questions, and develop study plans to model capabilities in warfighting scenarios.
• Develop and apply analytical methods, run matrices, and evaluate frameworks to assess mission effectiveness, interoperability, and capability gaps.
• Interpret results, identify trends and risks, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for experimentation and requirements development.
• Prepare and deliver technical research reports, briefings, visualizations, and other analytic products for stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Collaborate across cross‑functional teams and lead small analytic teams as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (or 10 years experience without a degree) and at least 4 years of relevant analytical experience.
• Experience applying structured analytical methods to complex, multi‑variable problems.
• Ability to work effectively with analysts, engineers, weapon system operators, and subject‑matter experts.
• Current active TS/SCI security clearance.
