Operations Leader (Key Holder)

About the role

Petco is looking for an Operations Leader, also known as a Key Holder, to join the store leadership team. In this position you will help ensure smooth daily operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain a safe environment for pets, partners, and shoppers.

Key responsibilities

• Uphold Petco’s animal care standards, ensuring health, safety, and proper handling of all store animals.
• Open and close the store, following cash‑handling, safety, and security protocols.
• Supervise and support store partners, fostering productivity, morale, and a positive work atmosphere.
• Assist with training new partners and reinforcing best practices on the sales floor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.
• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and solution‑oriented service to every customer.

Required profile

• Comfortable leading on the floor and solving problems in real time.
