About the role

The U.S. Navy is seeking an Operational Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive medical care to Sailors, Marines, and operational units. This full‑time, in‑person position supports mission readiness both ashore and at sea, offering a unique blend of clinical practice and military leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver primary care, diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
• Conduct physical examinations and manage medical readiness for assigned personnel.
• Coordinate follow‑up care and referrals within the operational health system.
• Advise command leadership on health status and readiness of personnel.
• Support medical operations during deployments, training exercises, and humanitarian missions.

Required profile

• MD or DO from an accredited institution (or ECFMG certified).
• Unrestricted medical license.
• U.S. citizenship and meet age requirements (21‑57).
• High moral character and ability to serve as an active‑duty Medical Corps Officer.
