Open Rank Clinical Professor and Program Director

About the role

The School of Nursing at Northeastern University seeks a full‑time Open Rank Clinical Professor and Program Director for its Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in Charlotte, NC. The appointment begins January 2027 and combines teaching, scholarship, and leadership of the program.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate nursing courses and engage in scholarly activities.
• Oversee curriculum governance, accreditation compliance, marketing materials, and program‑specific consents.
• Manage student milestones, admissions, enrollment growth, and graduation clearance processes.
• Develop external partnerships with clinical sites, professional associations, and advisory boards.
• Lead program assessment, resource allocation, faculty workload planning, and part‑time faculty evaluation.

Required profile

• Terminal degree in Nursing, Education, or a related field by the start date.
• Evidence of research and scholarship, teaching excellence, and commitment to faculty, staff, and student support.
• RN licensure in Massachusetts and eligibility for licensure in North Carolina.
• Ability to work with diverse, global student populations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of nursing education standards and accreditation processes.
• Experience with curriculum development, program administration, and student advising.
• Strong collaboration skills across interdisciplinary academic units.
