OnSite Specialist - St. Louis, MO

About the role

Stryker is hiring an OnSite Specialist in St. Louis, Missouri, to support surgical teams and ensure equipment, processes and information flow smoothly so that patient care is exceptional. The role is field-based and covers both sterile processing and on-site operating room liaison duties, with rotating schedules, on-call, overnight and weekend shifts, and occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, manage and maintain surgical equipment and disposable products so everything is ready before each procedure.
• Support operating room teams during procedures by anticipating device needs and making timely adjustments.
• Troubleshoot routine and complex equipment issues independently to reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, equipment use, monthly performance metrics and account updates.
• Stay current on Stryker equipment, disposables and new technologies and educate clinical staff.
• Follow safety, facility and privacy standards, including patient confidentiality.
• Provide flexible coverage, including rotating schedules, on-call, overnight and weekend shifts, and support for other accounts, possibly involving travel.
• Reprocess surgical instrumentation per IFU, HSPA/AAMI standards and hospital policy, including decontamination, assembly, function testing, wrapping and containerizing sets.
• Act as liaison between the OR, SPD and hospital leadership, handling escalations, coordinating coverage and quality reporting, and supporting specialty service lines such as da Vinci and Spy-Phi.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; 0+ years of related experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Associate's degree or equivalent certifications, and 1+ year of experience in customer service, technical assistance, clinical support or sterile workflow.
• Knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures and instrumentation preferred.
• HSPA/CRCST certification required within 6 months of hire (annual renewal).
• Ability to work rotating schedules, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently, and travel occasionally.
• Prior OR or SPD leadership experience preferred.
