OnSite Specialist - Springfield, IL

About the role

Stryker is hiring an OnSite Specialist in Springfield, IL, a field-based role supporting minimally invasive surgical procedures. You will assist in the operating room, maintain surgical equipment and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes in a fast-paced position that has a direct impact on patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the use of Stryker Endoscopy equipment in coordination with the OnSite Specialists team, surgical teams, Sterile Processing teams and biomedical teams, while maintaining OnSite Operations standards.
• Ensure equipment is properly prepared, fully operational and compliant with standards so that surgical procedures are safe and efficient.
• Proactively identify the needs of surgical teams and address equipment issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot and repair surgical devices to keep them performing at peak level.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge through Stryker training and share key insights with clinical teams.
• Document and communicate data to support ongoing improvement efforts.
• Follow all safety guidelines and regulatory standards, including HIPAA and patient privacy requirements.
• Meet the work schedule to provide consistent surgical coverage as required by the medical facility.
• Clean, inspect and assemble surgical instruments in preparation for sterilization in the Sterile Processing Department.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 0 years of experience in customer service or technical assistance roles.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, move up to 20 lbs continuously, and stand, walk and use visual acuity, color vision and manual dexterity daily.
• Strong communication, time management and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to obtain HSPA certification within 6 months of hire, with annual renewal.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Preferred: associate or bachelor's degree or relevant medical certifications.
• Preferred: experience in operating rooms or with surgical equipment, and experience in Sterile Processing (HSPA/CRCST certification preferred).

What we offer

• Pay of $23.85 per hour, within a stated U.S. range of $21.58 to $29.20 per hour.
