On‑Site Remote Patient Attendant (Full‑Time)

About the role

The On‑Site Remote Patient Attendant provides continuous visual observation of high‑risk patients in UHealth Tower. Working from a dedicated monitoring station, you will ensure patient safety by promptly addressing risky behaviors and communicating with the nursing team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain uninterrupted visual surveillance of assigned patients, observing multiple patients simultaneously.
• Use a digital two‑way audio device to verbally redirect patients engaging in unsafe behaviors.
• Notify the unit nursing team via communication devices when immediate assistance is required.
• Operate patient‑monitoring technology and electronic systems in line with department standards.
• Participate in hand‑offs, documenting observations at required intervals and reporting equipment variances.
• Collaborate on patient‑safety reporting and assist in removing potential hazards from patient rooms.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant license or comparable certification (Medical Assistant, EMT, Associate Degree in a medical field).
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in patient observation or clinical support.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
