On‑Site Remote Patient Attendant, Full Time

About the role

The On‑Site Remote Patient Attendant provides continuous visual observation and surveillance of high‑risk patients at the UHealth Tower. Working in a fast‑paced hospital environment, you will use digital audio and visual technology to ensure patient safety and support the nursing team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clear view of all assigned patients from a monitoring station.
• Verbally redirect patients via a digital two‑way audio device to prevent risky behaviors or imminent danger.
• Notify the unit nursing team immediately when a patient requires assistance.
• Utilize visualization and electronic systems in accordance with department standards.
• Participate in hand‑offs, documenting observations at established intervals.
• Identify equipment variances and initiate follow‑up actions.
• Report patient safety issues and assist in removing potential hazards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant license or certification in a relevant field (e.g., Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Associate Degree in a medical field).
• Minimum two years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
