Oncology Discovery Scientist Intern

About the role

The Oncology Discovery Scientist internship offers a 12‑week, hybrid experience where you will join a multidisciplinary team focused on discovering new cancer therapeutics. You will work under a mentor, present research to senior leadership, and showcase your project at the annual intern symposium.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments using techniques such as ELISA, PCR, DNA sequencing, flow cytometry, and cell‑based functional assays.
• Collect, record, and analyze data, and prepare oral and written reports for the discovery team.
• Participate in department, cross‑functional, and “Bench to Bedside” lecture meetings.
• Prepare and present a poster/abstract at the global summer intern research symposium.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university program (undergraduate with at least four semesters completed or graduate pursuing a master’s/PhD).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Strong interest in drug development, cancer biology, and scientific research.

Required skills

• Laboratory techniques: ELISA, PCR, DNA sequencing, flow cytometry, cell culture, cell‑based functional assays.
• Computational methods: single‑cell RNA‑seq analysis.
• Proficiency with Slack and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint).
