Offsite Biometric Technician (USCIS) - Full Time

About the role

Amentum is recruiting an Offsite Biometric Technician to support a nationwide government program for the USCIS Application Support Center (ASC). You will travel to applicants' locations to complete mobile biometrics and, when not travelling, work onsite at the ASC. The position is part of a talent pipeline for future openings, and applicants meeting the qualifications may be considered when relevant roles appear.

Key responsibilities

• Travel nationwide as directed to complete biometric registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
• Process applicants for biometrics capture, assist them with ASC processing forms, and review immigration and biometrics documentation.
• Capture electronic fingerprints, photographs and signatures, and proof and check work for accuracy and completeness, maintaining a 98% efficiency rating.
• Provide excellent customer service, track each applicant's processing time, safeguard documents and perform backup duties for receptionist, biometric technician and site supervisor.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Government-issued suitability clearance (US citizenship required).
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel 50%-100% of the time, including to nursing homes, residential homes, hospitals and other sites.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 75% of work hours, lift 30 lbs, and work in varied and demanding environments.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to act as the main point of contact for customers.
