Of Counsel – Tax, Trusts and Estates

About the role

Sills Cummis & Gross is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Tax, Trusts and Estates Practice Group as Of Counsel. This senior‑level position focuses on advising high‑net‑worth clients on sophisticated estate and tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex estate planning strategies, including drafting and implementing wills and trusts.
• Handle trust and estate administration matters.
• Counsel clients on business succession planning and family wealth transfer strategies.
• Provide guidance on charitable and philanthropic planning.
• Structure and implement family partnerships, family limited liability companies, and other planning vehicles.

Required profile

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in tax, trusts and estates law.
• Strong background in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related tax matters.
• Experience with sophisticated planning techniques for high‑net‑worth clients.
• Admission to both New Jersey and New York bars.
• Prior experience in a law firm or comparable practice preferred.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and client service skills.
