Occupational Therapist II (Part‑time)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Physical Therapy is seeking a part‑time Occupational Therapist II to join its clinical team in Miami, FL. In this role you will design and deliver individualized therapy programs that help patients regain or maintain daily living skills.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, synthesize data, and develop diagnosis‑based care plans.
• Create and update measurable goals in collaboration with patients and families.
• Select and administer appropriate assessment and treatment techniques, including age‑specific competency evaluations.
• Follow and adjust intervention protocols as needed, and discharge patients when goals are met.
• Provide patient and family education tailored to readiness and emotional status.
• Accurately collect and report departmental data within required timeframes.
• Adhere to university policies, safeguard assets, and maintain confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Active Florida Occupational Therapist license.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant occupational therapy experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as required.
• Commitment to the University’s core values and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
