About the role

The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Occupational Therapist I to deliver evidence‑based rehabilitation services in Miami, FL. The role involves evaluating patients, creating treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support optimal recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of new patients, set goals, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Document all evaluations, treatments, and patient interactions accurately.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, therapy processes, and home programs.
• Maintain effective communication with the rehabilitation team, physicians, and support staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s or Doctoral preferred).
• Valid State of Florida Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
