Occupational Therapist – Full Time, Miami

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Pediatrics is seeking a full‑time Occupational Therapist I to provide effective rehabilitation in Miami, FL. The role follows AOTA guidelines and contributes to the development of services within the University of Miami Health System.

Key responsibilities

• Perform evaluations on new patients, set goals, and develop treatment plans while documenting all interactions.
• Provide education to patients and families about conditions and therapy.
• Communicate with physicians, obtain information, and suggest treatment revisions.
• Supervise and instruct occupational therapy students, assistants, and support personnel.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, quality improvement activities, and program development for the Debbie Institute Education Programs.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy or related field.
• Valid State of Florida Occupational Therapist license.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
