Nutrition Service Assistant – School Food Service

About the role

The Manteca Unified School District is seeking a Nutrition Service Assistant to support the daily food service operations at Manteca High School. This part‑time position works approximately 5.75 hours per day, Monday through Friday, and provides essential assistance to ensure students receive safe and nutritious meals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals in the school cafeteria.
• Support inventory management and stock rotation of food items.
• Help maintain a clean, sanitary environment in compliance with district food‑safety standards.
• Collaborate with the nutrition team to follow established menus and service schedules.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent (accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education).
• One professional letter of recommendation with signature.
• Resume submitted with the online application.
• Pre‑employment requirements: TB clearance and fingerprinting (employee cost if hired).
• Preference will be given to internal candidates.
