Nursing Skills & Simulation Lab Assistant

About the role

The Nursing Skills & Simulation Lab Assistant supports the Associate Degree in Nursing program by managing the day‑to‑day operations of the skills and simulation laboratories on the Eunice and Lafayette campuses. This full‑time, permanent, onsite position works closely with the Lab Coordinator, Program Director, and faculty to deliver safe, high‑quality simulation experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and functionality, coordinating equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Set up, test, and break down simulation scenarios and skills practice stations.
• Manage inventory of supplies, simulation equipment, and instructional materials.
• Track student sign‑in/out, equipment usage, and scheduling of lab resources.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, occupational health, and safety regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and external partners.
• Support occasional evening, weekend, or after‑hours activities as needed during the academic term.
