Nursing Instructor – Full‑Time Faculty Position

About the role

The Nursing Sciences Division at Gwinnett Technical College seeks a full‑time Instructor to deliver accredited nursing courses on the Lawrenceville campus. This position involves classroom and clinical teaching, curriculum development, and participation in student recruitment and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans for credited nursing courses, including medical‑surgical and critical care content.
• Develop program outlines, goals, objectives, and course syllabi.
• Evaluate student progress and maintain required documentation and administrative reports.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and budget requests for the nursing program.
• Ensure safety and security standards in classroom and simulation environments.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and community partners on instructional programs.

Required profile

• Doctorate or Master’s degree in nursing (or pursuing a Master’s with 18 graduate hours completed).
• Current RN licensure in Georgia.
• Two years of college‑level nursing teaching or medical‑surgical RN experience preferred.
• Experience with critical care nursing, simulation, and curriculum development is a plus.
• Ability to teach in both classroom and clinical settings; BLS/ACLS certification preferred.
