About the role

The Administrator In Charge, Nursing provides clinical support and serves as a subject‑matter expert for staff across the University of Miami Health System. This role collaborates with senior leadership to optimize workflows, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a patient‑focused culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical support and act as a subject‑matter expert for nursing staff.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to support hospital operations and improve patient outcomes.
• Coordinate emergency response teams during after‑hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Manage clinical and non‑clinical emergencies, including notifications to leadership and external agencies.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and other healthcare regulations.
• Develop and implement quality initiatives focused on patient safety and satisfaction.
• Optimize patient flow and throughput while maintaining high standards of care.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
