Nursing Administrator in Charge (Full Time)

About the role

The Administrator in Charge, Nursing provides clinical support, oversees emergency response, and ensures compliance with healthcare regulations within the University of Miami Health System. This full‑time position collaborates with senior leadership to improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provides clinical support for staff and serves as a Subject Matter Expert.
• Supports hospital operations and collaborates with senior leadership.
• Acts as liaison between departments to ensure effective communication.
• Optimizes workflows and identifies opportunities to enhance quality of care.
• Coordinates emergency teams after hours, weekends and holidays, and assists with Command Center setup.
• Manages clinical and non‑clinical emergencies, including notifications to leadership and external agencies.
• Ensures compliance with CMS, Joint Commission and other healthcare regulations.
• Develops and implements quality initiatives focused on patient safety and satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• Learning agility to adapt to new procedures, technologies and protocols.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
