Nursing Administrator (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a full‑time Administrator in Charge of Nursing to provide clinical support, act as a subject‑matter expert, and ensure smooth hospital operations. This leader will collaborate with senior leadership, foster a patient‑focused culture, and serve as a liaison across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical support and expertise to nursing staff.
• Coordinate emergency response teams during after‑hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Manage clinical and non‑clinical emergencies, including notifications to leadership and external agencies.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and university policies.
• Develop and implement quality initiatives focused on patient safety and satisfaction.
• Optimize workflows, patient flow, and throughput to enhance care quality.
• Assess and maintain internal controls and train employees on university procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience.
• Strong learning agility, teamwork, and communication abilities.

• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
