Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Onsite in Misawa, Japan

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive primary care to military personnel and their families at Misawa Air Base, Japan. The role serves as the Primary Care Manager, ensuring continuity of care, preventive health, and medical readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct full medical evaluations, histories and physical exams for patients of all ages.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, order and interpret laboratory, radiology and other diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications in accordance with the Air Force Formulary.
• Perform minor surgical procedures such as wound care, skin biopsies and joint injections.
• Provide women’s health services, pediatric care, and address behavioral health concerns with appropriate referrals.
• Oversee medical readiness, including immunizations, preventive health assessments, mental health and dental readiness for deployable service members.

Required profile

• Current license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Knowledge of military‑specific healthcare policies and procedures.
• Ability to serve as Primary Care Manager for an assigned patient panel.
• Authorization to work in the United States without H‑1B sponsorship.
