Nurse Practitioner (APRN) – Remote, 1099 Contract

About the role

The position is a 1099 contract Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Registered Nurse providing medication‑assisted treatment for opioid use disorder. Work is primarily remote with occasional on‑site presence at the Groups location.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in conducting patient intakes after counselor evaluation.
• Monitor patients' clinical progress during group counseling sessions.
• Authorize and manage patients' medication prescriptions during monthly visits.
• Complete all clinical notes and reporting in the Groups EMR system within required timelines.
• Follow strict clinical protocols and participate in a technology‑driven, team‑based care model.

Required profile

• Active, unencumbered Iowa NP/APRN license.
• Active individual DEA registration with Iowa address.
• DEAX designation to prescribe buprenorphine or proof of 8‑hour SAMHSA‑approved training.
• Active board certification in any APRN specialty.
• Ability to work on‑site at the Groups location at least 5 hours per week.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Groups’ electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Experience with medication‑assisted treatment protocols and buprenorphine prescribing.
