Nurse Educator 2 - Perioperative Services - Full Time

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a registered nurse to serve as a Nurse Educator 2 for perioperative services. The role focuses on professional development across multiple sites, delivering education, mentorship, and change leadership to nursing staff.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Nurse Educator 3 and the manager to assess and implement multi‑site educational programs based on practice gaps, regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Develop and evaluate learning activities that address identified knowledge or skill deficits.
• Create a learning environment by partnering with clinicians, leaders, and educators to deliver continuing education and in‑service sessions.
• Coordinate education on proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies for patient‑care staff.
• Facilitate orientation and onboarding for licensed and unlicensed healthcare personnel across sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• CNOR certification.
