Nurse Aide Instructor (10-month contract)

About the role

Join the State of Georgia as a Nurse Aide Instructor for a 10‑month term, delivering classroom instruction and supporting the development of future healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and deliver accredited technical/occupational courses.
• Evaluate student progress against curriculum goals.
• Manage classroom supplies, equipment, and budget requests.
• Maintain program certification and accreditation documentation.
• Ensure safety and security standards in the training environment.
• Collaborate with students, staff, and educators on instructional matters.
• Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current Georgia Practical Nursing License.
• Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience.
• BSN or Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution (preferred).
• Experience in long‑term care services and post‑secondary teaching.
• Active participation in professional organizations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard Learning Management System.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
