Non-Technical Project Manager IV

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductor and advanced display technologies, is seeking a Non‑Technical Project Manager IV to drive project success across its Chandler, AZ and Hillsboro, OR sites.

Key responsibilities

• Define project and program objectives, conduct preliminary activities such as outcome determination, milestone planning, viability studies, and resource planning.
• Deliver projects and programs in line with product/process specifications, cost targets, resource utilization, and schedule commitments.
• Document all phases of project, program, and process development and ensure proper information transfer to other functional areas.
• Maintain compliance with company policies on engineering/lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality, and safety.
• Manage material and financial resources efficiently.
• Collaborate with staff to maximize project productivity.
• Lead research and development of new technologies and integrate resulting processes, designs, or methodologies into Applied Materials offerings.

Required profile

• Expertise in data science, analytics, project and program management, change management, and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Ability to leverage matrixed resources to implement standardized structural changes.
• Strong communication skills for audiences ranging from peers to executive leadership.
• Proven ability to identify high‑value problems, generate alternative solutions, manage competing demands, and drive initiatives to closure with minimal supervision.
