Non-Commercial Goods Specialist

About the role

The Non-Commercial Goods (NCG) Specialist ensures that all non‑commercial items required for construction and facilities projects are sourced, transported, and delivered efficiently, cost‑effectively, and sustainably. Reporting to the Construction Manager and based in the New York Support Office, this hybrid role bridges logistics, procurement, and project teams to keep store build‑outs and maintenance on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the C&F Manager and Expansion Controller to define the optimal NCG strategy for the market.
• Prepare, present and analyse business cases for logistics investments and NCG initiatives.
• Implement logistics set‑ups, tender transport, storage and handling providers, and ensure compliance with H&M procurement standards.
• Monitor external partner agreements to guarantee quality, price‑quality ratio and timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate data in the LIMA system for global forecasting of interior products.
• Coordinate purchasing, fabrication, delivery and inventory of all interior items.
• Educate stakeholders on NCG management, advise on projects and procurement, and handle invoicing and claims.
• Drive sustainability by defining reuse and waste‑management strategies, tracking performance and coaching peers.
• Reduce storage costs and optimise inventory levels across existing stores.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics, supply‑chain or construction‑related environments.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and evaluate business cases.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities to work across cross‑functional teams.
• Commitment to sustainability goals and waste‑reduction initiatives.

Required skills

• Familiarity with the LIMA logistics system.
• Experience in tendering processes for transport and storage services.
