Non-Certified Ophthalmic Assistant

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Twinsburg Family Health and Surgery Center as a Non-Certified Ophthalmic Assistant. You will support ophthalmologists by preparing patients, performing diagnostic tests, and handling clerical duties in a state‑of‑the‑art facility.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and prepare patients for examination or treatment.
• Perform initial patient examinations, ophthalmic testing procedures and routine screening tests.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Document patient information in the medical record.
• Perform clerical, stocking, maintenance and related duties.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year experience in an ophthalmic setting providing direct patient care (or equivalent education/training).
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lb and stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.

Required skills

• Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and PC.
• Visual acuity, including ability to distinguish colors.
