Node.js Developer

About the role

We are looking for a talented Node.js Developer to join our engineering team in Alpharetta, GA. You will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable server‑side applications and APIs while collaborating closely with frontend developers, product managers, and designers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend applications using Node.js.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and, where applicable, GraphQL services.
• Integrate with relational and NoSQL databases, third‑party services, and external APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code.
• Create automated unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of services.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate user‑facing elements.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Work with DevOps to support CI/CD, monitoring, and deployments.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience with Node.js frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with relational or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Understanding of asynchronous programming, event‑driven architecture, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Chai.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
