Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) – 12‑hour Shifts

About the role

Thrive Now Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to work the night shift in its Iowa City residential treatment facility. The RN will provide safe, evidence‑based medical care to individuals recovering from substance use and co‑occurring mental health disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and document high‑risk indicators promptly.
• Develop and update individualized nursing care plans for each admission.
• Administer medications accurately, manage MAR reconciliation, and monitor for side effects.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide direct clinical interventions as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and contribute to holistic care plans.
• Liaise with external hospitals, providers, and families to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate, timely nursing documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa.
• Experience in residential or acute care settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of trauma‑informed, person‑centered care.
• Ability to work independently during night hours while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.
