Night Shift Material Handler

About the role

Gerdau is seeking a night‑shift Material Handler to support the efficient flow of raw materials and finished products in its Duluth, Minnesota facility. The role operates on a 3‑nights‑on, 3‑nights‑off schedule, handling repetitive material‑moving tasks across warehouse, production, and shipping areas.

Key responsibilities

• Operate forklift, overhead crane, and rail‑car puller to load and unload raw materials and finished goods.
• Move packaged product to storage locations or loading docks and ensure proper placement of supplies.
• Complete material handling sheets, safety inspections, and required truck and rail‑car paperwork accurately.
• Coordinate with production staff on product size or grade changes to set up correct materials.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain forklift and overhead crane certifications during orientation.
• Basic math and reading skills to follow instructions and complete paperwork.
• Availability to work night shift (7 pm – 7 am).
