Network & Security Administrator

About the role

Ohalo is seeking a Network & Security Administrator to manage and secure its multi‑site IT infrastructure. The role will focus on designing, deploying and maintaining a reliable Ubiquiti UniFi network while also overseeing device security and awareness programs. You will work closely with the IT Manager to support office, lab and field locations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain Ubiquiti UniFi switches, access points, gateways, UniFi Access (door control) and UniFi Protect (video) across all sites.
• Manage WAN, wireless and wired networking, including DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing and VPN connectivity.
• Administer Hexnode UEM for device enrollment, policy enforcement, patching and remote wipe.
• Support Google Workspace user, group and security configuration.
• Create and maintain network and device documentation, SOPs and configuration records.
• Automate provisioning, alerting and ticketing workflows and evaluate AI‑assisted tools.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues in office, lab and field environments.
• Run the KnowBe4 security awareness program, including phishing simulations and training.
• Assist with network segmentation, access controls, endpoint hardening and compliance documentation.
• Track work and collaborate using Notion, Jira and Slack.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in network administration or related IT infrastructure roles.
• Hands‑on experience with the Ubiquiti UniFi ecosystem or comparable enterprise networking hardware.
• Strong knowledge of WAN technologies, wireless/wired networking and core protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, VPN).
• Experience with MDM/UEM platforms such as Hexnode and with Google Workspace administration.
• Proven ability to create and maintain SOPs, policies and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with workflow automation and interest in AI tools for IT operations.
• Experience using Notion, Jira and Slack for documentation and collaboration.
• Understanding of security fundamentals, access controls and security awareness training.
