National Vice President, Field Asset Management

About the role

Public Storage is seeking a National Vice President to lead Field Asset Management across its extensive portfolio of self‑storage facilities. The role provides executive leadership for strategy, governance, and performance of facilities management and capital program execution on a national, multi‑market scale.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a senior leadership team to build a high‑performing, scalable organization.
• Establish operating models, accountability structures, and succession planning across all markets.
• Set national strategy for capital programs, maintenance initiatives, and project governance.
• Align capital deployment with asset performance, risk mitigation, and enterprise objectives.
• Partner with Finance and executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term investment strategy.
• Drive cost discipline, value engineering, and operational efficiency while ensuring financial performance.

Required profile

• Proven executive leadership experience in real‑estate or facilities management.
• Track record of building and scaling high‑performing teams.
• Strong strategic thinking with ability to align capital investments to business growth.
• Experience overseeing large, multi‑market portfolios and managing enterprise‑wide initiatives.
