N2 AMHS Equipment Technician

About the role

NXP is hiring an N2 AMHS Equipment Technician in Austin. The selected candidate performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the ATMC AMHS Equipment area, keeping semiconductor manufacturing equipment running reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, upgrade and monitor AMHS equipment including PRI 7000 and Turbo Stockers, PRI Guardian Reticle Stockers, PRI Aerotrak systems and Daifuku parts management systems
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems, perform scheduled maintenance, change consumables and carry out other area-related tasks
• Complete documentation and train others on equipment maintenance
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally while working the shift

Required profile

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the semiconductor industry
• Specific knowledge of maintenance job functions; an AS or AAS in electronics or another industrial engineering field is preferred, or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of experience in the metrology/defect area
• AA degree in electronics or a related discipline with 5 years of technical maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, may be acceptable
• Physical ability to stand for long periods (up to 12 hours), occasionally stoop or crawl in confined spaces, and lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds

Required skills

• Solid understanding of SPC and FDC, and the ability to use them to improve equipment performance
• Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interact well with operations and engineering personnel and with internal and external groups on safety, performance and reliability matters
