About the role
The Department of Biology at UA Little Rock seeks a motivated student to support the Museum of Natural History. This hands‑on internship provides experience in managing biological and geological specimens and contributes to the development of the museum's collections.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in inventorying and organizing biological and geological specimens.
- Catalog specimens by recording type, classification, and relevant metadata.
- Prepare specimens for display, storage, or research use.
- Maintain accurate documentation and collection records.
- Support compliance with state, federal, and institutional policies governing collections.
Required profile
- Current University of Arkansas at Little Rock Biology student.
- Interest in natural history, museum work, or specimen management.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records.
