Multi-Sport Staff Coach (Early Childhood)

About the role

Amazing Athletes is a sports-based enrichment and P.E. program teaching nutrition, muscle identification and more than 10 sport activities, including motor development skills. It is looking for a coach well versed in Early Childhood Education to fill a 20-hour contract. The schedule includes weekday mornings (9-12pm), weekday afternoons (2-6pm) and Saturday morning options, with classes of 30-45 minutes plus setup and breakdown.

Key responsibilities

• Teach the basic fundamentals of 10 different sports following the weekly Amazing Athletes or Soccer Stars curriculum.
• Assist and teach an energetic, motivating class, connecting with and challenging each child to reach motor development goals.
• Inspire a love of movement and healthy habits in an organized, structured and fun way.
• Provide individual and group attention to children.
• Show up on time, physically and mentally prepared, including commuting time.

Required profile

• Early childhood education credits.
• Able and willing to travel to class locations.
• Prior experience working with children preferred.
• Experience with preschool-age children (e.g., preschool teacher, camp counselor, elementary substitute teacher, coach).
• Background in fitness (athletics, sports, dance, cheer, gymnastics, martial arts, exercise science, kinesiology, physical education, etc.) preferred.
• Fun, energetic, patient and attentive; candidates recommended to be fully vaccinated, subject to legal exemptions.

What we offer

• Salary of $21,000-$26,000 per year.
