MS&T Engineer I

About the role

Staar Surgical is hiring an MS&T Engineer I in Monrovia, California, to support the manufacture of its products. The role covers validation, troubleshooting and continuous improvement in manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day manufacturing issues.
• Create and run validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) and summarize test results as required.
• Create and run Test Method Validations (TMV) on measurement equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production issues.
• Support open non-conforming material reports and CAPAs.
• Liaise with partners to drive continuous manufacturing improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent education/experience.
• Lean/Six Sigma or similar training is a plus.
• 1-2 years of experience in a regulated industry preferred.
• Design transfer experience preferred; clean room operations experience is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.
• Prioritization, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Design experience using CAD or related software preferred.

Pay range is $80k-$90k annually, depending on experience. The company is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
