MRI Technologist 2 – Full-Time

About the role

The University of Miami Hospital & Clinics is hiring an MRI Technologist 2 to operate MRI equipment for diagnostic and research imaging. This full‑time position involves flexible days, nights, on‑call and weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic and research images.
• Set up imaging area, select appropriate coils, and position patients with immobilization devices.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Follow safety protocols, assess patients, and review screening forms.
• Perform daily quality‑assurance measurements on MRI equipment.
• Report and document equipment issues to senior staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with regulations.
• Adhere to university and unit policies and safeguard assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and certification in the appropriate specialty.
• Minimum three years of relevant MRI technologist experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and on‑call as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work under pressure.
