MRB Liaison Engineer – Production Engineering

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking an MRB Liaison Engineer to evaluate and resolve engineering-related problems discovered during manufacturing and assembly, both internally and at suppliers. The role ensures compliance with type design, regulatory standards, and airworthiness requirements while supporting efficient production flow.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze nonconformances in metallic and composite structures, systems installations, motors, batteries, and mechanical assemblies on the production line.
• Review engineering documentation and Nonconformance Reports to determine technical disposition.
• Collaborate with design, stress, M&P, EMI, and other engineering teams for complex deviations requiring elevated approval.
• Develop and validate standard repair procedures and represent MRB Engineering in Material Review Boards.
• Provide technical consultation and drawing interpretation to manufacturing facilities and external vendors.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes (RCCA, 8D) with Quality and Production teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, including aerospace MRB experience.
• Strong understanding of aircraft structures, systems, design tolerances, and repair principles for composite and metallic materials.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Catia/Enovia preferred).
• Experience with root cause analysis tools such as RCCA and 8D.
• Knowledge of stress justification reports and structural substantiation.
