M&P Laboratory Testing Technician

About the role

The Materials & Processing (M&P) team at BETA Technologies needs a technician to support material testing, qualification, and fabrication activities across electric aircraft systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture and test panels for thermal runaway protection.
• Perform qualification testing of new materials and process‑control coupons for composites.
• Fabricate and test specimens for raw‑material receiving inspection.
• Conduct destructive testing of composite parts, including cutting, cross‑sectioning, machining, and testing.
• Support process improvement testing and R&D of new materials and processes.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and well organized.
• Strong hands‑on skills with practical experience.
• Familiarity with mechanical testing procedures.

Required skills

• Experience with load frames and analytical laboratory equipment.
• Use of microscopes for material inspection.
• Manual or CNC machining capabilities.
• Building and testing composite parts using wet‑layup, autoclave, or oven cures.
